What areas do you serve?
We serve a large area in Southern Colorado. Our home base is in Alamosa but we travel west towards Monte Vista, Del Norte, South Fork and Creede. To the south towards La Jara, Manassa, Sanford, and Antonito. East towards Blanca, Ft Garland, La Veta, Walsenburg, Trinidad and Cuchara. And to the North towards Hooper, Crestone, Saguache, Salida and Buena Vista.
What is a beverage burro?
From Colorados mining origins pack burros have a distinguished history. Donkeys have long been used to carry supplies/goods especially in harsh terrain. Beverage burros carry on that tradition using a specially designed sawbuck pack saddle with 2 cooler boxes attached on each side. The coolers are filled with beverages, appetizers, or party favors.
Guests can expect to pet the donkeys, give them a treat and take photos with them.
Beverages are nice... but what else does Charlie pack?
Charlie can pack all sorts of goodies to suit your event. For Children’s parties he routinely packs candy and/or popcorn bags. He can pack just about any party favors you desire as long as they are permitted at your venue and not to heavy for his bags. Just inquire for special requests and we will do our best to accommodate.
Who provides the beverages/ice?
You provide the beverages and we provide the ice or frozen gel packs to keep them cool. The state of Colorado does not issue liquor licenses to caterers or mobile bars. This means that as long as you (the client) purchase the alcohol, we can serve it to your guests, however we are not allowed to sell it (charge any money for it).
Venues/Parking
Please check with your venue to ensure that they allow beverage burros. We require a parking space close to the venue with room for a pickup truck hooked up to a horse trailer along with space to unload.
What about the Poop?
For donkey manure, Charlie either wears a bun-bag that catches the poop or we carry a manure rake and bucket to dispose of it promptly.

Important Considerations
Other animals: If you have dogs at the event, it's requested that they be securely leashed and out of sight to Charlie to avoid any stress.
Children: Charlie is well trained and accustomed to being around children, however it is important that children are well mannered with adult supervision and prepared to wait for their turn to pet Charlie so he is not smothered and overwhelmed.
